In 2014 parliamentary general elections, the BJP candidate from Hamirpur parliamentary seat, Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel had established a massive lead of 60256 votes over nearest BSP rival Rakesh Kumar Goswami in the Mahoba assembly segment.
